International Youth Day
Celebrating young people and their energy, innovation, and potential to create positive change. Investing in youth means investing in our collective future.
What Is International Youth Day?
International Youth Day, observed by the United Nations on August 12th since 2000, celebrates young people (generally ages 15-24) and raises awareness about challenges they face while highlighting their contributions to society. Each year focuses on a specific theme relevant to youth issues globally.
The day emphasizes youth empowerment, amplifying young voices in decision-making, and supporting programs that help young people reach their potential. It recognizes that investing in education, employment, health, and opportunities for youth creates stronger communities and societies for everyone.
