Veterans Day
Honoring all military veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces. Their sacrifice, courage, and dedication to protecting our freedoms deserve recognition and gratitude.
What Is Veterans Day?
Veterans Day, observed annually on November 11th, honors all American veteransâliving and deceasedâwho served in the U.S. military during war and peacetime. Originally called Armistice Day to commemorate the end of World War I, it was renamed Veterans Day in 1954 to honor all veterans.
Military service requires sacrificeâtime away from family, physical and mental challenges, and putting one's life on the line. Veterans Day is about expressing gratitude for those who chose to serve, recognizing the challenges they faced, and supporting veterans as they transition to civilian life. It is a day to say thank you to those who protected our freedoms.
