World Kindness Day

Celebrating and promoting kindness as a fundamental human value that transcends race, religion, politics, and location. Small acts of kindness create ripples that change the world.

What Is World Kindness Day?

World Kindness Day, observed on November 13th, was introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, a coalition of kindness organizations from around the world. The day encourages people to look beyond themselves, their countries, and their cultures to appreciate our common humanity.

Kindness costs nothing but means everything. It is holding the door, listening without judgment, offering help without being asked, choosing empathy over indifference. Research shows kindness benefits both the giver and receiver—it reduces stress, increases happiness, and strengthens social bonds. World Kindness Day reminds us that kindness is not weakness; it is strength that builds better communities.
