Boss's Day
Appreciating the leaders who support their teams, advocate for their people, and create environments where everyone can thrive. Good bosses deserve recognition.
What Is Boss's Day?
Boss's Day, celebrated on October 16th (or the nearest workday), was established in 1958 to recognize the work supervisors do and strengthen the relationship between employers and employees. The day acknowledges that good leadership makes workplaces better for everyone.
Great bosses mentor and develop their teams, advocate for resources and opportunities, buffer against organizational stress, recognize good work, and create psychologically safe environments. Boss's Day is a chance to thank leaders who go beyond managing tasks to genuinely supporting people—those who make work feel less like work.
