International Chefs Day
Celebrating the culinary artists who transform ingredients into experiences, nourish our bodies, comfort our souls, and bring people together around tables. Chefs create magic with food.
What Is International Chefs Day?
International Chefs Day, celebrated on October 20th, was established by WorldChefs in 2004 to celebrate the profession and raise awareness about eating and learning healthy food. The day honors professional chefs and home cooks who pour creativity, skill, and passion into every dish they create.
Chefs do more than cook—they preserve cultural traditions, innovate new techniques, create employment, support local agriculture, and bring joy through the universal language of food. From Michelin-starred restaurants to family kitchens, from school cafeterias to food trucks, those who cook for others deserve appreciation.
